Hi, I'm Stephie!

I’m so glad you’re here. A little bit about me – no frills:

My journey began in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I lived there until age 7. After that, my family immigrated to the United States. Since then I’ve lived in sunny south Florida, the nation’s capital Washington DC, the windy city of Chicago, across the pond in London, and the one and only NYC.

After studying international relations in undergrad, I made a detour and pivoted to tech. I found my first “real job” at a start up; today I call this little place you might have heard of – Google – home.

My dream is to maximize my impact through relationship building and dialogue, by tapping into untapped human potential, I want to shape the future of opportunity – through the lens of technology.

Throughout all of my life I’ve craved intimate human connection, movement, and community. From my dancing queen days during ages 5-15, to the many studios and gyms I called home as I moved from place to place … there was nothing quite like showing up for class and escaping from the outside world. I loved it.Fast forward to today, I’m a mind-body enthusiast. Stretching is my favorite form of a break. Barre is my release. Breath and meditation a safe haven – that’s still a work in progress – no secrets here.

YOGA is just everything I could’ve ever imagined buttoned up into an experience. The practice reveals something new to me each time I’m immersed in it. It’s with the deepest of gratitude and almost coincidence that I found it.

My path to yoga stemmed from a dear friend in DC that once asked if I’d go to a class with her in 2016 – and given my background as a dancer, she thought I might enjoy it. It was in a cozy spot in Dupont Circle, if you’re familiar with the DC area, where I took my first step onto a yoga mat. I can’t say that after that first hour I fell in love, but there wasn’t resistance so I kept coming back.

As I continued to bop around from one city to another, I’d sign up for yoga classes.

In December 2017 I uncovered Mang’Oh Yoga in NYC – now known as The Yoga Common; and it’s in this special place that I embarked on my RYT® 200 journey in 2020.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge that there are a whole lot of challenges [and beautiful opportunities] our world is facing. My yoga teacher training has served to further educate and prepare me for the fight; the fight for humanity, our bodies, and the wellness of communities all around the world.

I’ve learned so much and am humbled to pay it forward through my teachings. I am by no means an expert, yet consider myself a life-long learner and hope you’ll stand by me as I continue to plant seeds and witness them flourish.

Join along in my classes live or if you would like, we can schedule a time to meet virtually one on one.

You’re welcome to pull up a mat and make yourself at home here.

Until we meet,

Stephie
